Create, Show, Test: Optimization of freenet’s digital assets
This white paper presents the key findings of a study on user experience conducted by the European Commission. Together with freenet AG, we examined how different levels of information affect user behavior and the decision for a particular product.
By using our latest eye square technology, eye square’s Sandbox, our experts created three homepage designs that examined user behavior and helped improve digital communication and increase customer satisfaction.
The aim of the study was to examine user behavior and performance across three different versions of the klarmobil.de homepage. In particular, it should be investigated whether increasing the amount of information on the tariff overview improves the user experience and decision-making.
Additionally, the following hypotheses should be investigated:
- Easier comparison: “If we increase the amount of information on the homepage, we improve the UX because the rates can be compared more easily.”
- Faster decision-making: “If we increase the amount of information on the homepage, the time needed to choose a plan decreases because all the necessary information is easy to find.”
- Faster task completion: “When we increase the amount of information on the homepage, the average time for task completion decreases because it becomes easier for users to make quick and confident decisions.”
The study found that eye square’s Sandbox is a powerful tool for testing design concepts and that high-fidelity prototypes could be repurposed for future tests, including qualitative research. Furthermore, it turned out that combining explicit survey data with implicit behavioral insights can lead to more meaningful and actionable results.
